Our varsity tennis team traveled to play Frisco Reedy on Tuesday afternoon. Unfortunately, we fell short of a victory. Cloe Threadgill and Chloe Park defeated Reedy’s GD1. Cloe Threadgill won her singles match too, while Chloe Park fell just short losing a tiebreak in GS1

Lightning may have put an early end to our first varsity district match of 2025, but not before your TC Cougars secured the win over Turner, 13-4. Every one of our varsity TC players walked away with a win in one of their events! #GBGC

Jose Guedez was 13-1 in fall matches, undefeated in BS1. He was District 12-5A MVP & THSCA Super-Elite Team member. This spring, he was 13-5 in tournament play. He was BS District Champ (only the 3rd from TCHS since 2009) and advanced to the Regionals round for the 3rd time #GBGC

Our 24-25 varsity tennis season has officially come to an end. Jose Guedez fell just one match short of qualifying for the state tournament. #GBGC

District Update: Alexa Irazabal advanced to the quarterfinals round before losing in a 3rd set. Jose Guedez beat out Reedy to become the district 12-5A BS District Champion! He will be heading to the regional tournament for the second year in a row. #NotDoneYet #GBGC

Fall MS District Results:

CJ Murali won the consolation championship in the BS “A” draw while Andrew Romine won it in the “B” draw. Zak Cranston & Marissa Lewis also made it to the consolation championship in MX “B” but did not win #GBGC

Tuesday, our Varsity TC Tennis Team took our 1st district win against Newman Smith, winning 12-7! BS were just one match shy of a sweep while Alexa Irazabal and Chloe Park won their GS matches as well. TC took 2/3 doubles matches on both sides and a win in MX too. #GBGC

TC managed to take more match wins against #3 in the state, Wakeland, than last year but ultimately lost. Jose Guedez and Alexa Irazabal won Mixed Doubles, and Jose handily won his Singles match as well. Next week we face #4 Reedy. Keep improving and rebuilding! #GBGC
