The levels at which the AFA is extracting every dollar out of the national team is ridiculous. Their last 2 years of friendlies has to be studied. They out here playing U23 African sides and countries barely ranked in the top 100 to end Messi’s career.

Mexico wins a friendly, journos: “it’s a friendly, doesn’t count.”
Mexico struggles in a friendly, journos: “fuera Rafa and Chivas for dragging down the national team.”

[Don Rob @TheDon_Tical]

I’ll be the first one to say Tala is a good GK, don’t think he’s NT level. He had a decent WC, & can be a great club gk. He’s also very below average w/ his feet.

W/ that said, the press can’t jump on him for 1 bad game. But with every new molero tour everyone apparently sucks.

[The Colorful Kit @TheColorfulKit]

Lol what is Mateo Chavez arguing? Such a stupid red card.

I feel like I have been waiting for Guzman to break through on the senior team since the 2022 World Cup ended.

🚨🤯 BREAKING: 24-YEAR-OLD CENTRE-BACK VICTOR GUZMAN SCORES HIS FIRST-EVER GOAL FOR THE MEXICAN NATIONAL TEAM!

DENZELL GARCIA WITH THE ASSIST. 🔥👏🏼

[The Colorful Kit @TheColorfulKit]

Guys I’m focused on tonight for Mexico: Fidalgo, Vargas, Lopez. Mexico’s midfield 3 already has two spots locked up (Mora/Lira) but is in search of its third.

Rafa needs to do the same and go young. Build towards a potential 2028 Copa America.

[The Colorful Kit @TheColorfulKit]

Am I the only one who think it’s embarrassing the lack of quality opponents that the AFA have scheduled the last couple years for their friendlies. Messi’s international career will end against Benin, a country that barely cracks the top 100 in the fifa rankings.

❤️🇬🇷 ARMANDO ‘HORMIGA’ GONZALEZ RECEIVING A STANDING OVATION IN GREECE.

The Mexican striker was applauded and cheered by Olympiacos fans after scoring two goals and providing one assist in today’s win. 👏🏼

Tremendo ‘Hormiga’.📈🇬🇷

Trust Berhalter and his staff but this summer window after the Lewandowski signing has been questionable.

🇬🇷 Sources: Chicago Fire in advanced talks to sign Greek youth int'l defender Noah Allen from Inter Miami. @CLMerlo 1st.

Deal is not yet done, per sources. Would be in region of $3m and structure being sorted. (Loan w/ obligation?)

For anyone that asks why it’s harder for a Mexican to go to Europe, this is another big reason. International spots and foreign rules in European leagues. This is a great example of that.
