Delayed family formation weakens social bonds. Sky-high housing, stagnant wages & gig jobs block young people from starting families. The 2015 marriage referendum shows people value this institution. We need a president that supports families. 🏡🇮🇪 #Ireland#PresidentialElection
In our time of mounting global tensions and conflicts, #Hiroshima and #Nagasaki stand as symbols of memory that urge us to reject the illusion of security founded on mutually assured destruction. Instead, we must forge a global ethic rooted in justice, fraternity and the common good. It is thus my prayer that this anniversary will serve as an invitation to the international community to renew its commitment to pursuing lasting peace for our whole human family, a peace that is unarmed and disarming.
Raising a family in Ireland shouldn’t break the bank. From soaring groceries to housing, families need support. Let’s build a politics rooted in Irish community: fair wages, affordable homes, and a future where every family thrives. 🇮🇪 @TodaywithClaire
Ireland’s tax individualisation penalises stay-at-home parents, mostly women, by taxing single income families more. Scrap it, and value caregiving and families @kierancuddihy
Reciprocity is Ireland’s gift: we give, we gain. From trad music to local co-ops, our credit unions to our GAA pitches and pubs - Our support for each other when we grieve - The craic when we celebrate - our shared culture builds trust.
Strong communities start with shared values: help your neighbour, cherish the land. Ireland’s traditions teach us this. Let’s pass it on to all who call this home. #TogetherWeThrive 🇮🇪
A strong community shares its table. Irish culture: our music, food, and craic, invites all to join.
Let’s build trust by celebrating what makes us one, not just amplifying the things that divide us 🇮🇪#IrelandForAll
Our GAA pitches, football clubs, community groups and local festivals are where Ireland’s heart beats. Fund them, protect them, and let’s celebrate the culture that unites us all.
