Next up on our series of “Parties we wish we attended” we have the Ashurnasirpal II’s Kalhu Festival. The year was 879 BCE and the city of Kalhu was complete. 70,000 people enjoyed 10,000 beer and 1,000 oxen. The secret? Be prepared with enough food and drink for all who arrive!
