@BorborKontri@kjngamer@PlayStation 3/3 I can guarantee that God of War and GTA wouldn't be nearly as popular today if it weren't for PS2 piracy introducing them games to ppl who otherwise would not play them. And we're talking about something far less extreme—and completely legal: reselling and lending games.
@BorborKontri@kjngamer@PlayStation 2/3 U say that reselling and lending games adds nothing, but it actually contributes a lot to game franchises. Many sequels sell better than the original games cause the franchise became more popular over time through people lending or reselling copies, reaching more ppl
@BorborKontri@kjngamer@PlayStation I don't actually know why you're so upset by people reselling or borrowing discs. In fact, it should be an option to resell and borrow digital copies. It seems you just like to suck a multibillionaire company balls.
@BorborKontri@kjngamer@PlayStation But since u focused on the DLC argument: the DLC wasn't on the disc and that's y no one can buy it anymore and it became lost media, even in the PS3. This actually highlights y having everything digital is problematic because things can become inaccessible for future generations
@BorborKontri@kjngamer@PlayStation I was just stating that ppl may want to play older versions of games for several reasons. I gave the exemple of Shadow of the Colossus (whose exclusive contents were on the disc) and u just ignored by doing cherry picking. PS2, PS3 and PS4 versions of Shadow differ of each other.
@BorborKontri@kjngamer@PlayStation Because I'd like that ppl haven't bought them could play those games if they want to. I couldn't play Scott Pilgrim because it was removed from PSN and I was happy when it was relaunched. Many ppl wanted to try it out after it have become lost media for a while
@BorborKontri@kjngamer@PlayStation 3/4 I think it's nice to have the original versions available for historical purporses or because they have contents unavailable in later versions. Up to this day ppl play PS2 versions of games remade later, as Shadow of the Colossus
@BorborKontri@kjngamer@PlayStation 2/2 I say that because I think it's important to any person to have access no matter when they were born. I'd like my grandchildren could play LittleBigPlanet 3 but it won't be possible
@BorborKontri@kjngamer@PlayStation 1/2 You said "I'm sure you can play games without it being physical". I pointed out that this isn't true. There are games you can't play under certinho conditions except if you have a digital copy of them.
@BabyEagle97@kjngamer@PlayStation Considering the amount of players that are complaining about the end of discs, the physical copies aren't as irrelevant as you and Sony are attempting to make them look.
@BorborKontri@kjngamer@PlayStation 2/2 That's why. Sony may remake Intergalactic or TLOU3 for hundreds of times and remove from PSN the original versions to make ppl who hadn't bought it yet to buy the remake by a high price, as Rockstar did with GTA Trilogy. A physical copy could make older versions accessible
@BorborKontri@kjngamer@PlayStation 1/2 At least 4 exclusive PlayStation games were removed from the PSN, including LittleBigPlanet 3, and Driveclub, and the only way to currently play them if you haven't bought them is by physical copies.
@ne2988@NikTek@PlayStation So you are not allowed to protest against anything then. Because the answer for any protest could be "What are you gonna do walk up to the front door of their office and cry about it".
