Job creators under attack. We deserve a State's Attorney who will protect us and our holdings against misguided corporate prosecutions and unfair lobbying rules
Why does @NewDayConway say Chicago needs a "new day"? Because Chicago lost its real leaders. People like @RahmEmanuel who knew how to run the city right. That's why Bill hired top Rahm backer Trisha Rooney as his campaign chair. #MakeTheOldGuardNewAgain! https://t.co/NPkNPfWo1A
Some are saying @KimFoxxforSA deserves credit for the massive 40% reduction in shootings. Like saying Bill’s Billionaire Dad is responsible for Egyptian police shooting protestors w/ tear gas canisters just b/c one of his dads many companies sold them to the police. VERY TENUOUS.
Spent the afternoon with seniors from Chinatown at the Phoenix Restaurant discussing criminal justice reform, getting after our gun crime epidemic and holding corrupt public officials accountable.
The @washingtonpost makes Carlyle Group's vast political influence sound like it comes easy. It is almost like they think that Bill's dad does NOT need to donate $5 million to buy a single local seat to get that sweet, sweet influence. Show some respect for the craft, people.
Extreme wealth should be used to influence political and policy outcomes. That's why some people think Bill's dad's Carlyle Group is "a shadow government that pulls strings and influences public policy for private enrichment." We get it. $5m to buy one local election isn't cheap.
Democratic state’s attorney challenger Bill Conway gets another $2.35 million from his wealthy father, records show @lollybowean — https://t.co/pIsXX7Qn4y
As billionaire fathers, we use our wealth to increase opportunities for elite education, financial sector jobs, & elected office so our children can build the economy that supports everyone else's children. Proud to see Bill's dad donate nearly $5 million to his son's campaign!
Hi Kim. There is not a single reference in here explaining how you are going to protect billionaire hedge fund executives and real estate developers from unfair corporate prosecutions. If we are going to end mass incarceration, we need the justice system to work for ALL OF US.
Some people are calling for @NewDayConway to give back the 4.2 million dollars his father gave his campaign simply because his dad's company, @OneCarlyle, owns a firm that makes tear gas canisters used by oppressive regimes to silence protestors. VERY UNFAIR! Keep the $, Bill!
10 Days Until #Davos2020.
If elected State's Attorney, perhaps next year @NewDayConway can lead a panel on unfair corporate prosecutions and the role that overzealous prosecutors hellbent on scapegoating CEOs and financial sector leaders play in driving mass incarceration.
Hey @rrhinton, why would you print what #fakenews@politico says about Bill's dad's company, @OneCarlyle, owning a firm that made tear gas canisters that Egyptian police fired at protestors? 1. NOT AMERICA & 2. Bill's dad owns 1000s of companies. He can't monitor ALL OF THEM.
Is it still wrong if you own the prison?
Public prisons fail those who live in them.
Let's #disrupt prisons by increasing private sector innovation & investment.
Also, these calls prepare inmates for future campaign staff jobs, maybe on State's Attorney campaigns! #jobtraining
This is excellent reporting and a very fair headline from the @Suntimes. Just because your campaign is funded mostly by billionaires from the Carlyle Group, which has $222B under investment & lobbyists based in Chicago, does NOT mean Conway would be beholden to corporate donors!
