Mitigation is simply lowering the impact of disasters on lives, assets and property. This is what I have dedicated my life to, and have been deep in the study of, for well over a decade (7 years of university, 4 years under FEMA and associated organizations).

Protests are now planned in over 70 UK cities tonight at 7 PM local time.
70 cities, simultaneously.
That scale of coordinated public response doesn't happen by accident. The Belfast attack tapped into something that's been building for a long time around immigration and public safety, and tonight is when it surfaces all at once.
