ok this is probably the simplest automation i've built but it saves me every single morning
set up apple shortcuts to automatically play "what's news" podcast the moment i leave my gym's location in the morning hours
sounds dumb but i was literally doing this manually every day–get in car, open apple podcasts, search for the podcast, hit play
now it just... happens
the automation triggers when i'm ~530 ft. away from the gym between 7am-10am, then auto-plays
took maybe 10 minutes to set up, saves me 2-3 minutes every morning, but more importantly–one less thing to think about
i think the best automations aren't always the flashy ones everyone posts about
they're the tiny friction removers that make your day slightly better without you even noticing
