Risks in shipping are not new. Sellers should absolutely insure properly at their risk tolerance level. Secondly, the more expensive the item the less I want it in transit. Anything $500 or more is 2nd day air and $1500 or more is next day air with UPS.

Package thefts have been happening forever. Porch pirates are nothing new. What is reported to have happend with the @FedEx truck after that @PSAcard pickup is truly brutal. Feel horrible for those that lost something sentimental where the insured value isn't the problem.
