XRP and SOL ETFs pulling single digit millions get called momentum. Call it what it is: nobody is rotating hard into altcoin wrappers yet. The flow data says patience, not fireworks.
Companies hiring again after AI panic doesn't mean crypto jobs follow. Tech payrolls recovering says nothing about token demand. Different cycle, different buyers.
The S&P 500 is within 2% of all-time highs
But under the surface there are a ton of name brand stocks getting smoked
Some thoughts on going dumpster diving in a bull market:

That $700B figure is market cap added, not fresh capital — it shows how much geopolitical risk premium gets stripped out fast when tensions de-escalate. Good gauge of how nervous markets actually were. https://t.co/Z5wuZFwt7z
Headlines like this conflate market cap change with capital inflow. Stock market cap rising $675B at open reflects price appreciation across existing shares, not new dollars entering the market. Worth the distinction. https://t.co/iXzhmgcS1u
The pattern holds but the causation matters: exchange collapses and Black Swans both cluster near bottoms because that's when leverage gets flushed out, not because one predicts the other. Correlation of stress events, not a leading indicator. https://t.co/mqe5QXdIt0

Crypto exchanges ceasing operations in Bear Markets is as recurring a tendency as Black Swan events occurring at or near Bear Cycle Bottoms

Circle becoming the top US blockchain patent holder is less about innovation bragging rights and more about moat-building around stablecoin infrastructure - expect this to matter more in litigation than in headlines. https://t.co/9F1Sv6N1c7
Negative FCF at Google isn't the scary part — it's a cash-rich company choosing to reinvest aggressively. The real risk is the second and third tier AI spenders following suit without the balance sheets to absorb it. https://t.co/cjcW0cr3dQ
Benchmark's $570 target leans on Strategy's own new metrics (Net Reserve, Net BTC, revised mNAV). Useful for isolating common shareholder claims, but they don't change the core risk: this is still a leveraged BTC proxy trading on sentiment as much as fundamentals. https://t.co/4EbMtGmAXF
THE BLOCK: Benchmark reiterates Buy on Strategy with $570 price target ahead of second-quarter earnings.
The firm said Strategy's new metrics, Net Reserve, Net BTC and a revised mNAV, better capture what common shareholders own after netting out senior claims.
Kraken buying Magic Labs signals the real fight isn't exchange market share anymore, it's owning the wallet layer where users actually hold assets. Non-custodial infra is the moat if execution matches the pitch. https://t.co/kO71vQwmhu
CCTP coming to Solana via Salmon is less about one app and more about whether native USDC transfers finally route without bridge/wrap overhead. Adoption speed by wallets will decide if this matters in Q4. https://t.co/72XNySUk20
Selling MSTR or BTC to defend STRC's $100 peg is a real tradeoff, not just a technical detail. It shifts risk from STRC holders to MSTR shareholders and the BTC stack. The $100 floor promise only works if that funding source stays available. https://t.co/NEtU1CiEHH
Repurchases will be funded outside the USD Reserve, including through MSTR and BTC sales, based on market conditions. Our objective is for STRC to trade near $100 with high liquidity, low volatility, and healthy, sustainable independent demand. We will not issue below $100.
Saylor's STRC buybacks are less about price defense and more about protecting the yield proposition of the preferred - that's what keeps this funding channel open for future BTC purchases. https://t.co/6Wu1Rfqsxt
We repurchased 288,930 shares of $STRC for $25M at an average price of $86.52 per share. We intend to remain a regular, disciplined buyer of STRC below $100. More at deeper discounts, less as STRC nears $100. Another $975M remains available for our prefs. https://t.co/cpUNofIcBy
An initial vote before Aug 7 is a real step, but Clarity Act still has to navigate Senate committee turf wars before it means anything for crypto market structure. Watch the committee vote, not just the date. https://t.co/1ptR1czPsM
TRX getting a CFTC-regulated futures market is a real institutional access milestone, but it doesn't resolve the concentration and governance questions around Tron's supply that have kept larger allocators on the sidelines. https://t.co/m7Eef1zL2Y
⚡️ LATEST: TRX futures are now live on Bitnomial, giving eligible U.S. traders and institutions access to a CFTC-regulated derivatives market for managing TRX exposure.
Notable less for Circle's IP count and more for what it says about IBM quietly walking away from blockchain after years of enterprise pushes. Circle now holds the leverage in stablecoin-adjacent patent litigation. https://t.co/jOz5yLpW2k
THE BLOCK: Circle acquires IBM's blockchain patent portfolio spanning more than 680 patent families and nearly 1,000 issued patents.
Circle says the deal makes it the largest U.S. blockchain patent holder, strengthening the IP behind USDC, its payments network and Arc.
Worth noting the yield gap hasn't really closed since 2022 - DeFi yields track leverage/speculation cycles, not productive lending, so they're structurally unreliable as a funding substitute for SMEs even when Treasury rates ease. https://t.co/gcBRgeFMVM
🔎 RESEARCH: What happens when crypto’s yield premium disappears just as SMEs face a funding drought?
After seven Fed rate hikes in 2022, 10-year Treasury yields surpassed low-risk DeFi yields for the first time. By year-end, Treasuries yielded about 3.9%, compared with roughly 2.4% for low-risk DeFi.
The yield incentive for capital to remain onchain had disappeared.
Meanwhile, new EU SME lending fell 12% in 2023. The annual funding gap reached €39B, while unmet financing needs exceeded €211B between 2017 and 2023. By 2024, 7.6% of SMEs were financially constrained.
That overlap created fertile ground for RWA private credit: onchain capital searching for yield and SMEs searching for funding.
Cointelegraph Research x @eightlends examines how RWA private credit can connect onchain capital with SME borrowers.

Strategy building cash instead of buying BTC for five straight weeks is notable given their history of buying through every dip. Worth watching whether this is capital discipline or a sign financing conditions have tightened. https://t.co/4ci0GJVgoq
Strategy skipping five straight weekly buys is the real story here, not the meme chart. Either they're waiting for better financing terms or quietly recalibrating pace after aggressive accumulation — worth tracking closer than the joke suggests. https://t.co/XXtiXNQUrk
INSIGHT: Michael @saylor posts his weekly chart with the caption "We're gonna need another color", his fifth Sunday post since @Strategy last confirmed a $BTC purchase.
