Im probably late here but....I totally get the whole vibe coding thing.

I just vibe coded a macro for my personal finance spreadsheet on Excel. It creates a "database" that stores the value of my checking account to the upcoming Friday. If I choose to update the value multiple times throughout the week, then the cell overwrites within the database avoiding duplications or excessive data.

In tandem, it is tracked on a double-line graph with my forecasted amount to help me stick to my goals.

Like a domino effect: one cell changes, and series of automation ensues. Data is stored efficiently, and also displayed on a dashboard.

While I am proud of myself, none of this is too impressive. There are people out there changing the world with their coding, and vibe coding. I think that sometimes we are hard on vibe coders for slop and lack of fundamentals...Too hard.

My point is that AI is going to make ideas tangible, and expand innovation by removing the skill gap previously required to enter the industry. Sure, it'll be messy at first, but that's irrelevant. Business devs, artists, and other creatives are going to be able to trial-and-error ideas without depending on developers.

It'll save time, capital, and other frustrations.

I think the next step in AI is for it to act more of like an advisor and less like a yes-man. It should suggest better methods and approaches rather than taking literal instruction and focusing on appeasement. If I'm coming up with an idea, and there's a more efficient technical approach AI should say something like "I think you're trying to do this...let's try it this way....". Similar to how GPS politely guides us where we want to go.

It'll save our time, and our planetary/personal resources.
