Exciting updates and developments!🎉
1) USDT pool has now been rolled out on Lucky Bit and interested users can now check it out.
At the same time, if anyone is interested to volunteer for the role of Community Operations Strategist on Lucky Bit, they can apply for this position by filling out the following form below:
https://t.co/opRb5oS81X
All the information associated with the role has been mentioned therein. We will accept submissions until 7th June (Sunday) 14:00 UTC. The participant with the best response and proven track record in the domain of marketing will be appointed for this role.
2) In the recent times, there has been a healthy surge in dApps across dApp square. In order to incentivize the early-stage dApp developers working on high-quality dApps further, we are currently working on the infrastructure to ensure:
-> Developers who're actively building the dApps' (whether mini-apps powered on Delta or independent web apps) backend on ICP won't have to worry about paying the cycles and operational costs. Their dApps will be integrated into the unified fuel payment gateway (currently being worked on) and the cycles associated with the expenses will be covered by the main Delta canister, which is fuelled by ICP crowdfunding funds accumulated through active Delta supporters. However, we also encourage that the developers consider developing dApps that actively serve a purpose and shouldn't be mere recycled prototypes of apps that already exist in the range of 1000s everywhere else.
This is quite a significant step because in almost every other ecosystem (be it Solana, Ethereum, or even Pi Network), developers have to rely on third-party hosting services like AWS, Azure, Google Firebase, etc. to manage hosting and the costs can scale significantly with growing concurrent user-base. We will eliminate that part completely once the unified fuel payment gateway is developed.
Delta Kim Version 2.0.3 🛠️
Has been rolled out on Google Play. You're requested to update the app to the latest version because it comes with added compatibility for web apps. Here are the patch notes:
1) Added optimization for web app support (necessary to run Lucky Bit through Delta app);
2) Fixed the display anomaly in the DSMS monthly reward log (Activity rates across 29th-31st dates of any month will reflect from hereon); and
3) Resolved the CloudflareR2 backend API issue that prevented dApps from loading on a number of devices.
Kindly upgrade to the latest version or else, it won't be possible to run Lucky Bit. Lucky Bit is expected to be rolled out in a few days once enough users have upgraded to the latest version.

DNEWS CONTENT OPTIMIZATION PLAN:
-> To reduce the volume of low-effort content, we have come up with the following step-by-step optimization plan on how the rewards will now be handled on dNews:
1) The ranking weightage for posts on Facebook, X, and WhatsApp will now be reduced to zero. You won't qualify for the rewards if you resort to posting content on these platforms. Mass bulk of low-effort content comes from these platforms.
This will be implemented starting this month itself. Video-content across video-distribution platforms like YouTube and TikTok will receive the highest weightage whereas the content on blogging platforms like Medium and Substack will receive a lower weightage.
2) We will primarily shift our focus to video-content. This is expected to be rolled out at any point between Mid May - Early June, and an announcement will be made.
Users who will post videos on YouTube and TikTok will receive a greater ranking weightage. There are three sub-requirements for posting content on video-distribution platforms (if you wish to be eligible for dNews fiat rewards):
A) You must showcase your face in the video. This is the best way to reflect content authenticity, and no user can allege that their content has been stolen;
B) The video length must be over three minutes;
C) The video content must be educational and informative. If you simply post content like (Delta to the Moon! Don't Sleep on it), you'll be filtered out in the manual review process itself.
-> Decent editing over monotonous script-reading will result in bonus points.
-> To determine the winners for dNews fiat rewards, rankings and clicks will play a limited role. Manual review from the moderators will be in place to determine the best content. They won't be allowed to vote for their own content though.

Important announcement regarding KYC Prelude:
A number of users have messaged us regarding the data handling and security concerns associated with sharing their identity documentation as samples on KYC Prelude. Just to clarify a few pointers:
1) These samples will only be used for programming the rule design and facilitate AI training for KYC verification, and will be immediately deleted from the backend post-completion of the training;
2) Users are free to volunteer and share their documentation. If they believe it's too sensitive for them to share the documents at this stage and would like to await KYC, they're more than good enough not to partake in the KYC Prelude and can simply contribute by voting on the relevant proposals.
To clarify what KYC Prelude (not to be confused with actual KYC) is all about:
It's a dApp to understand the different types of documentation that are most preferred across different countries. For instance: It can be the driving license in a certain country and national identity card in another.
Through the KYC Prelude dApp, users can create and submit unique proposals pertaining to the documents that are recognized within their national jurisdiction. If a proposal mentioning a particular document has been posted, please don't submit a duplicate proposal.
The documentation receiving the highest number of votes will be taken into consideration for training the AI systems, which will be directly utilised for KYC verification. At the same time, if other proposals also receive a substantially higher number of votes, they'll also be considered.
NOTE: If you have inadvertently submitted an erroneous/inconsistent/blurred/inaccurate/censored documentation, we are working on a feature to allow the users to modify their submitted samples. You're requested to be patient.
Some users might struggle with submitting the samples on KYC Prelude. Always ensure to share screenshots with the moderators because screenshots allow us to identify the root cause of the error better.
