I’m putting this series on pause for now. Managing my exams along with everything else especially movies is getting a bit overwhelming. I’ll definitely resume the series once my exams are over. stay tuned!

DAY 10
#HelpImStuckInReviewHell
ENEMY(2013)
Jake Gyllenhaal faces his own worst enemy himself. A slow-burning psychological puzzle soaked in dread, spiders, and identity crises. Villeneuve traps you in a web of unease, then leaves you there.
Maybe this series was just supposed to be reviews…
But powerlifting demands more than that.
It’s not just about plates and PRs it’s about breaking down, rebuilding, and showing up anyway.
This might be more than a review thread maybe it’s a tribute to the will to rise.
And maybe I love it because I’ve lived it too.
I deadlifted 200kg, got badly injured, and had to claw my way back.
Now I’ve squatted 150kg, still struggle with bench, but every rep feels like a win.
Powerlifting isn’t just a sport — it’s how I rebuild myself.
That’s why I keep watching during lunch breaks, late nights, tired mornings.
Because watching someone push their limits?
Reminds me I’ve got a few left in me too.
DAY 9
#HelpImStuckInReviewHell
Didn’t have time today. So, like always, I watched powerlifting videos while eating.
Because nothing digests better than seeing someone squat a small car.
A thread on the greatness of powerlifting
And no, you don’t have to lift 300kg to get it.
Just watch one meet one grindy lift
and you’ll feel it:
The weight isn’t just on the bar, it’s in the story behind it.
Powerlifting isn’t just strength.
It’s patience. Discipline. Resilience.
It’s missing lifts, hurting, rehabbing, coming back stronger.
It’s being your own competition.
What starts as lifting weights turns into something deeper.
You see lifters face the bar like it’s personal.
The pre-lift silence. The focus. The ritual.
Then… they move the impossible.
DAY 8
Sleepwalk with Me (2012)
A charming, self-deprecating dive into anxiety, ambition, and sleep disorders equal parts funny and vulnerable, like a stand-up set wrapped in a therapy session.

DAY 7
Bicycle Thieves (1948): A heartbreaking slice of post-war realism where a stolen bicycle becomes a symbol of lost dignity. Simple, raw, and devastating ,it captures the quiet tragedy of survival with unforgettable human depth.

DAY 6
You’ve Got Mail(1998) A cozy, charming romance where dial-up internet sparks offline love .Tom and Meg at their most effortlessly adorable.

Day 5
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty(2013) surprised me visually stunning, emotionally uplifting, and full of heart. Stiller's passion shines. An ordinary man chasing extraordinary dreams. Just shy of greatness, but deeply inspiring.

DAY 4
Come and See (1985) is not just a war film it’s a psychological descent into hell.A haunting masterpiece that strips war of all glory. Elim Klimov’s direction and Aleksei Kravchenko’s raw performance are unforgettable.A brutal, necessary watch.
