Dwayne Johnson on AI:
“I’ve always been an advocate for embracing big change—after taking a hard look at it. We can either stick our heads in the sand and be afraid, or we can say, ‘Okay, we’re here. Let’s see. Let’s explore.’"

@ol_scarbrain Great teachers like your daughter’s teacher have the power to change the trajectory of a kid’s life. A really bad teacher could turn someone against teachers for life. I wonder what kind Tracy had.
@PhilBLiberty@GianmarcoSoresi Based on the egregious false equivalence, you don’t have the range for this conversation. Maybe sit back and listen more.
Everyone in the comments saying “it’s an indie film” are duuuumb. It made 230 million dollars. Give the team more money. Capitalism will train dummies to think artists aren’t deserving of the money THEY EARNED.
@SUPERxNOVA17@Culture3ase Yeah, no shit. If the movie flopped this wouldn’t be the conversation. The movie made 300 times its budget. Because of this people are (rightfully) acknowledging that the crew that created this movie should get paid more. Commensurate to their work making this success.
I also MAKE movies like my life depends on it.
On an indie promo budget on Memorial Day Weekend in competition w 10 other films,
& w 50%-250% less screens & WAY less showtimes than everyone that made more-
we made almost $5M.
We're not done
I Love Boosters- in theaters now!
This movie requires less suspension of disbelief than believing a thunder God from Asgard fights mythical aliens with a magic hammer…I’m sure people will be fine.
#IsGodis Suspension of disbelief has to do a lot of heavy lifting. You must believe two girls don't have flashbacks of the most traumatic time in their life, that a court won't keep a man in prison for burning a person, and that nobody calls the police or fire department.
I think this is an accurate take. Some of the criticisms I’ve been seeing really disappoint and I couldn’t put my finger on why, but Sterling, as ever, provides a solid North Star.
Agreed. Racine is so filled with the violence that was done to her, that she started to be consumed by it. In the end, she enacted the EXACT same violence her father did & it literally claimed her. Tough ending but a strong message on how vengeance, even if righteous will get you
ik the is god is ending upset a lot of people (me included) but they dead tell u it's gonna happen in the second act 😭 it could not have ended any other way and been the same story
His idea makes sense, but ultimately doesn’t support the character whose style is so dominant he’s never had to change or evolve. He’s old school and Shang Chi represents the next gen of fighters.
Tony Leung says his fight scene ideas for ‘SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS’ were rejected by the director.
“I argued with the director: 'If a guy comes from a thousand years ago, the way he fights must be a combination of all martial arts, like MMA today, because he lived through all that time.
And the director said no, "I said, 'Why not? Why just typical kung fu in the '70s?' He said, 'This is Marvel.' I said, 'Okay,' and I didn’t argue anymore.”

Tracy: Liz Lemon, you know the New York Knickerbockers are my favorite sports team named after stockings!
Liz: Yes but Tracy you can’t say Liz Lemon is a Knicker lover to the camera.
Tracy: But you love hosiery! And I love hoes!
