@halupkisultan@OrYx56573327@enews putting /s at the end lets people know it's sarcasm. I figured it out by context, but some people need to be told. I keep advocating that we need a sarcasm font.
@TrevorTheHunte1 I remember when I was a kid and watched Tommy Boy. I knew that wigs were a thing but had no idea that bald caps existed. Literally spent years of my life thinking @DavidSpade was actually bald. Just rewatched both of these movies recently, still funny.
@Naujho1 @CyanNerdz_ @DeputyBirb @tonyishyper @FitzyPNW @brokenheart8917 Whatever you saw on the news was what they were willing to make public. The actual defensive capabilities are top secret and probably far more capable than anything you would see on the news. Showing potential enemies your exact defenses is not a good strategy.
@hippiechicken12@MuellerSheWrote Good 'ol fashion google to research the topic being mentioned. Places like snopes, politifact, etc have probably proven it or debunked it. Takes 2 minutes, but it's obvious that most people don't even bother, they just automatically repost it if it affirms their belief.
@HODL_stonks@BernieSanders Its not just increased profits, its increased profit margins. So when their supplies increase by 5%, they raise their prices by 10%. They're not just increasing prices to match the increase in supply price, they're tacking on a little more to milk their customers.
@winyourshine@elonmusk Yes. Well, two cells to be exact. Human sperm and ovum are both single cells. Put them together and that's all the genetic information to grow a human.
@istheAngelica@dingobabyboy@MrCarmel6@joerogan@Spotify LFTR's appear safer than traditional nuclear, but are still in the R&D phase, so not done and done. They seem more like something that would tide us over until we figure out fusion, not the overall solution. Thanks for playing.
@TristanSnell I seem to remember someone saying "The mob takes the 5th. If you're innocent, why are you taking the 5th?" I can't remember who said it but I think it covfefe.
@TeckieGirl @jemelehill I think it was the fact that it was during the national anthem that got all of their panties in a knot with Colin. Something about patriotism, yada yada... Completely ignoring the fact that the freedom to do a symbolic protest like that is the very essence of American freedom.
