My bot was doing well. Was up $6K on a $5,000 paper balance. So I doubled the position size. Today it went 0/3 and lost $1,000. Sometimes bigger is not better.

The trades it took I would’ve taken over and over again. Price action today just didn’t let them play out.

I was freaking out because my bot did not take a single trade today. Spent all day trying to diagnose why only to figure out the bot identified today as a choppy day with no clear direction and did not force any trades. Unreal.

The bot has taken 23 paper trades today and is 23/23 for a 100% win rate. That is not normal. Every losing trade the bot takes becomes an opportunity to never take that setup again.

Today the bot caught SPY calls on an opening range breakout and held runners all day until force closure before the algos kick in.

11 total trades today with an 80% win rate.

Still ironing out the exit strategy. Leaving a LOT of gains on the table.
