UK police have learned nothing from Henry Nowak's murder.

They arrested a woman with a concussion and facial injuries after she told them a Pakistani man had brutally beaten her.

Because Pakistani witnesses said she had racially abused him and she used a racial term describing her attacker.

Then they watched CCTV footage and took her home.

Her name is Marie Monroe and she was attacked by Musa Ali—but police warned her not to use his name on social media (oh well!).

She has other videos with more details about the attack and police response at marie.monroe2.0 on Instagram and feels like nobody is listening or cares.

More information emerging about the conviction of Del Somerville (jailed for two years for throwing a plastic bottle and telling police officers to 'F**k off' at a protest against the small boats).

The court heard that Somerville had played a relatively minor role at the incident, had tried to pull another protester away when he confronted police, actually lived at the marina rather than travelled there for the purpose of protesting, and that the plastic bottle he threw was 'small' or 'empty'.

It's impossible, in the context of wider sentencing policy in this country, to avoid the conclusion that the sanction handed down to Somerville amounts to two-tier justice.

A migrant who raped a teen avoids jail.

A migrant who assaulted a 12-year-old girl avoids jail.

A man who threw a plastic bottle at a migrant protest and swore at police is jailed for two years.
