One Pace is actually the worst thing ever, a lot of the fillers are fun and others added in between the episodes actually enrich the story. Also if you’re watching or reading just to catch up quickly, you’re missing on the enjoying the journey part.

Apparently Oda wasn't too keen on adding the Garp plot to the LA at first and took quite a bit of persuading. Which I think good intuition since it seems to be the primary criticism of the series.
