@thosethatcan We went with Marmalade in the end. Not because they were the 'best'. They were all I could afford. Be prepared for insurance to go UP when they pass their test.
@MoneySavingExp
Car insurance arrrgh. DS passed her test on Thurs. Have already decided to go down the Young driver route for her. Called insurance and was charged £35 to remove her from my policy. Is there a reason in law why they charge? Or easy money for them?
@DeputyGrocott We have also done house swaps. Swapped with families with children a similar age to ours so didn't need to take so much 'stuff'. Am considering pet sitting websites too.
@DeputyGrocott We have used gites de france in the past. Was cheaper than other options. Travel midweek is often a bit cheaper with ferry/tunnel. There are also a lot of us! Eurocamps (and other options) used to do buy one get one free in May half term.
@MissIsobeleh I used to send a grid home every half term with about 20 activities on. Ask for the books to come in once a week. Celebrate with those who had done something (not infront of the others) and do some of the activities in provision so everyone could feel included. Wasn't perfect.
