THE NUMBER THAT CALLED TOMORROW — EP. 3
I barely slept.
At 7:12 AM, someone knocked on my door.
I froze.
Then my phone buzzed.
Unknown number.
One message:
“Don’t answer it.”
THE NUMBER THAT CALLED TOMORROW — EP. 2
I thought it was a prank.
Until I checked my call history.
The call was there.
But the timestamp made no sense.
Tomorrow — 11:47 PM.
Steve Jobs said:
“The most powerful person in the world is the storyteller.”
Legendary brands like Apple and Nike are built on storytelling.
Here's the simple 7 step framework to help you master storytelling:
A study from Princeton shows the same parts of the brain light up in both the speaker and the listener of a story.
Jobs used this to transfer his energy, his excitement to his audience.
It’s a big reason Apple has a cult-like following.
Let’s dig in:
I don’t think you need to be a naturally “interesting person” to become a good storyteller.
You need to become observant.
Pay attention to what people say.
Notice the awkward moments.
Remember how you felt.
Notice the tiny things everyone else ignored.
There’s a story somewhere.
Can't believe my actual job title is storyteller. I can exist in the economy and have the job title storyteller and be paid for it. That's really cool to me
