@kritikatwtss Ideally the system should classify such leave as period leave internally while displaying it as a casual or sick leave to those with calendar access. Additionally, orgs should obtain employees’ consent regarding whether this information can be disclosed to their supervisors.

Leaves for employees who experience periods is absolutely correct. However a dedicated period leave category can create privacy concerns, especially in orgs where leave requests require managerial approval.

I believe that partners who are genuinely invested value effort more than money, sometimes a few handpicked flowers and a letter means more than a bouquet.

I’d love to get this problem in a system design interview.

- A classic case of key properties being driven by the client rather than the server.

- The idempotency guarantee does not account for all edge cases.
