My late husband @Totalbiscuit being mentioned in a monetized lazy listicle video by @WatchMojo called "10 YouTubers Who Made Videos When They Knew They Were Dying" is tasteless enough. Plugging their AI slop music project in it as well? Unforgiveable. You should be ashamed.
Regrettably I never had the chance to really work with alex. Nonetheless he’s made a significant impact on my life and this space. He may be gone but he will not be forgotten.
Rest in peace.
I haven't had many interactions with Cimo over the years but each one was incredibly pleasant. A trailblazer for the community with some of the most important videos in the sphere. Rest easy, Cimoooooooo
I think a lot of us started today with a big cry. Mine lead me to reading through old messages and the first time I spoke with Alex. He was reaching out to welcome me to the community, to ask if I needed help with anything, and ultimately to be a friend.
This was just one of an endless amount of examples of how he would make a real effort for others. He brought the community together in so many ways and Yugioh would not be what it is today without him. It goes without saying that Alex’s kindness, enthusiasm, effort, and thoughtfulness will live on in this community.
He’s an inspiration, he always was, he always will be.
7 years ago, finding this video is what led me to pursue playing Yugioh in a competitive setting. I picked up a structure deck and started my competitive journey, all thanks to Cimo.
He kickstarted my long lasting obsession with the game, as I'm sure he did for many many others
It might sound crazy, but looking back on it, Cimo teaching me how to Link Summon is the only reason I have the friends I do today and why I never gave up content creation
One time Cimo reached out to me because he wanted to talk about content. I remember he said “you get it, almost no one else knows what it takes to make it but you get it, I can tell”. I just thought it was funny, and we traded notes on logistics for the rest of the call
Coming out of my hiatus for one reason: fuck cancer.
Alex was one of the first people who welcomed me into the space. He had a heart of gold and made a positive impact on so many people around him
Thank you for everything Alex. God bless you.
Absolutely heartbroken. Edited for Alex over the last two years, and he's far and away the most thoughtful, conscientious, and driven friend I've ever worked with.
Never met another person so truly in it for the love of pushing the envelope. A genuine King of Games.
Alex was very forthcoming about his health journey with all of you and I want to honor that but I am not ready at this moment. I will make a video with further details and post it on his channel at a later date.
A bit frustrated that the death of my husband was leaked without my consent. I had a specific plan in place to announce it when I was ready after I gave myself and our family space to grieve. I know that you all loved him dearly. (1/2)
