The local Afghan Sikh community leaders said that Kakkar had shifted his wife, three sons and a daughter to Delhi in 2012 from Afghanistan for their safety but he himself would keep juggling between Kabul and Delhi for work and sewa of gurdwaras.

Gul Muhammad is Gurdwara building contactor, he is in contact with the Kabul Municipality. They have promised to provide 40 men to help in cleaning up the Gurdwara in Karte Parwan, Kabul 🇦🇫 after the bombing on 18th June.

An abandoned Gurdwara (Sikh place of worship) in Gardez, Paktia Province of Afghanistan.

During the reign of President Dr. Najibullah, between 50 and 60 families of Hindus and Sikhs lived in Gardez and in 2021 the last Sikh family left the country.

Taliban representative have met with Afghan Sikh (270) and Hindu (50) elders in Kabul today. They have assured them of their safety. Only time will tell if they honour their words.

Satpal Singh (son of Sardar Ragbeer Singh) is one of two people injured in today's bombing blast out his shop in Jalalabad earlier today.

Sources claim a bomb caused the blast and that it occurred at approximately 14:30 in the Darmasal/ Gurdwara (Sikh place of worship)
