Dolly Parton was a true American icon. First introduced to the world as a "little girl from up in East Tennessee," she became a global superstar.
Her career accolades included 11 Grammy awards, an Emmy, an honorary Oscar, and — my favorite — more than 300 million books sent to millions of children around the world through her Imagination Library. All at once she was kind, modest, and funny. With her music, her philanthropy, and her style, Dolly was one of one.
Doug and I send our prayers to her family, friends, and all those who have been touched by her magic. We will always love you, Dolly.
A 23-year-old US man, Deron Lewis-Payne, has been sentenced to ten (10) years in federal prison after being convicted of using ChatGPT to plan the February robbery of an i3 Bank in Omaha, USA.
The conviction was secured by the Department of Justice after digital forensics revealed that the suspect, who made away with $9,175 after threatening to kill the tellers, used ChatGPT to search for law enforcement response times, how to assemble a pistol, and how to obtain ammunition.

In 2006, the world was in Germany.
The World Cup was on, and I was on radio — top radio.
But my heart was elsewhere. I wanted to leave.
I walked into that embassy with a dream folded in an envelope, a visa, a one-way ticket, a plan to go and never come back. To seek greener pastures.
They said NO.
That NO broke me.
I had a classmate who had promised me a corner to sleep if I made it. After the refusal, I called her. And called. And called. She never answered again.
That silence was louder than the refusal.
I cried then. I didn't understand then.
But now I know, sometimes, God says NO because He has built you to be the greener pasture others will travel to find.
He was not rejecting me. He was redirecting me.
Just believe. Just trust Him fully.
“The world is not ours to keep. We hold it in trust for future generations.”
Remembering my touchstone, Kofi Annan, and the timeless lessons he left us.
👀Heads Up👀
8 years ago today, Ghana lost a legend.🕯️
Kofi Annan, born in Kumasi in 1938, became the 7th UN Secretary General and the first Black African to hold the role. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2001, and passed away in Bern, Switzerland on August 18, 2018 at age 80. He was laid to rest at Burma Camp, Accra, after a full state funeral.
His fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa, his push for democracy, and the work of the Kofi Annan Foundation still echo today.
Rest well, Kofi Annan. 🇬🇭🕯️
Today we remember eight years since passing of great Ghanaian, former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan: a principled diplomat, statesman and tireless advocate for peace, dignity and multilateralism.

Today, as we remember him, the Kofi Annan Peace Bell at Manhyia Palace stands as a beautiful reminder of the values he represented.
Eight years on, his voice may be silent, but his legacy continues to ring for peace.
May His Beautiful Soul, Rest In Peace!
Rest well, Kofi Annan. 🇬🇭🕊️
I'm a northerner, but have spent a lot of time down south, especially Florida. For a couple of years I basically traveled the NASCAR circuit. I have to say I'm laughing my ass off at this video. This is definitely the Florida that I've seen several times. 🤣🤣🤣
