How to create an evergreen welcome sequence that will ALMOST certainly erase the memory of your subscribers...
In a good way.

>> THREAD 🧵 <<
One for all my marketers, writers, and curious internet money folk.
The tell-tale signs that what you’re reading has been written by AI:
> ‘—‘ em dashes (the most stupidly obvious).
> If there is any sentence that resembles the ‘no’ pattern. Example… No gimmicks. No Hacks. No thought went into this writing.
> Too many commas in an attempt to showcase ‘perfect grammar.’
> Generic filler & fluff with a lack of insight.
> Repeated phrases and ideas.
> Humour that should have been left in the teacher staff room.
> Personality pulled from the skeleton of Elon & Mark Zuckerberg’s love child.
As a parent, productivity does not exist.
There is no routine you can rely on, no special time to wake up, no flow state for you to enter.
Why?
Because your children don’t care about your productivity.
You must simply get up and do the work regardless.
Listen up business owners!
Browse abandonment flows are not exclusive to the E-commerce world.
(I know, who woulda thought!)
If someone clicks a link to your high-ticket offer/course/calendly link…
THIS is where you follow up with 4-7 emails overcoming objections.
You’ll be surprised how many people just need a little nudge before they take any action.
This brand needs to fire their email marketer effective immediately.
Absolute shambles.
If this is the strategy they had for April fools I’d love to see what they have in store for spring, summer and BFCM.
What a mess.
Client retention > client acquisition
Client results > showboating numbers
Being in the field > non-stop practice
Plain text emails > graphics
Simple funnels > a million touch points
Doing the work > talking about the work
Nothing more sad to witness than a business owner who thinks they’re running an e-commerce store.
Stressed about design and images not releasing their audience will only pull out the cash when the trust is built.
How so Sherlock?
Emails, my dear Watson.
Here’s how to get more work done you lazy sod!
- Wake up, down coffee, no food.
- Bottle of water next to you.
- Open laptop.
- Close all useless tabs & programs (you’re a mess as it is).
- Throw phone in the fridge (save it from overheating)
- Set time to 4 hours.
- WORK.
@TrafficBrokerX This an example ofX reading a tweet you always thought but never wrote.
No one cares for your good news.
And most are happy about your bad news.
I grew up alongside drug dealers, murderers and criminals.
The worst of the worst. Society’s rejects.
The type of people your parents would condemn during the evening news broadcast about all the latest crimes.
I didn’t know it at the time — none of us did.
We were just a bunch of innocent kids…
Waiting for the school bell to ring so we could rush through the estate and get up to mischief (at least that’s what they called it), climb places we shouldn’t climb, race our bikes down the roads…
…and play football where the ‘no ball games’ signs were.
I know right, whose idea was it to put up ‘no ball games allowed’ signs in places where the community centres (which kept us out of trouble) were taken away?
Alas,
We got older and the pressures of a low-income area took over.
Some wanted status…
Others respect and fear…
But most — if not all — just wanted to escape the cards they were dealt.
We don’t talk anymore.
At the most, I might catch a glance of a few when driving past my childhood area
But the rest?
In prison, dead or still blaming everything around them.
I miss waiting for the school bell.
I bet they do too.
Times were much simpler.
If you use the word ‘playbook’ in any lead magnet… well done.
You’ve just revealed that your ‘guide’ is another copy-paste cookie cutter template with a few sprinkles on top.
The secret is…
No one has it figured out.
Not the guru, the expert, the mentor, the professional, the master, the teacher, the advisor, the consultant, the boss, the manager or any other person you ever looked to for answers to your freedom.
The battle rages on every day.
There’s nothing that can compare to the feeling of satisfaction and freedom you feel from writing.
If you’re truly a writer (not a marketer) you’ll understand.
An indescribable event between a blank page and the bounce of your fingertips along the keyboard.
Priceless.
Anyone who talk’s about ‘optimising
your productivity’ — but is childless or single and can barely bench press 2 plates each side is a buffoon of the highest order.
Plus not to be trusted, listened to, or taken even a smit serious.
Just read a project spec where they’ve asked for someone to create the following:
Engaging content through ‘well-designed visually appealing’ emails.
What a mess.
On the brink of 2024 and brands still think bright colours and poster-like emails will save them.
Not a chance.
