Here’s what it really means:

Caffeine is a stimulant. It blocks adenosine — the chemical that builds up in your brain and makes you feel tired.

So if you drink caffeine and still crash?

That usually means one (or more) of these:

1. You’re sleep-deprived — chronically.
Your adenosine levels are so high that caffeine can’t override them anymore. Your body is begging you to rest.

2. Your adrenals are shot.
When you live in constant stress (work, trauma, pressure), your cortisol and adrenaline systems start to burn out. Caffeine triggers them — but they’re already drained. So you crash instead of rise.

3. You’re addicted — and desensitized.
If you've been using caffeine daily for years, your receptors may no longer respond as strongly. The same cup that used to energize you now numbs you. Like a volume knob that’s already maxed out.

4. You’re misreading the signal.
Sometimes caffeine calms people down because their nervous system is already in overdrive (common in ADHD, anxiety, or overstimulation). That “sleepy” feeling is actually a shutdown response, not real rest.
You’re not broken. You’re burned out.

And the solution isn’t more caffeine.
It’s more sleep, more silence, more real food, more boundaries, and more self-respect for what your body is trying to tell you.

You don’t need another espresso.
You need to listen.

In 2011, Israel made a deal with Hamas to trade 1,027 Palestinian prisoners for one soldier (Gilad Shalit). Netanyahu signed off on that trade.

Among those 1,027 prisoners were numerous terrorists, including those responsible for hundreds of Israeli deaths. The families of those victims were rightly outraged. One of those released was Yahya Sinwar. Sinwar was serving 4 life sentences for previous murders. Now Sinwar is the leader of Hamas in Gaza and the main person in Gaza responsible for the mass murder we witnessed last weekend. He's the one who now has over 100 Israelis as his hostages.

The U.S. and Israel must learn from this and realize these deals have real and predictable consequences. Saving the lives of hostages is important, but releasing terrorists is a high price that inevitably costs many more lives down the line.

There are two stories bouncing around re infiltration of US Defense and State Dept by Iran.

1. Robert Malley was US Envoy to Iran, appointed by Biden, after having been lead negotiator under Obama of Iran Deal. He has been suspended without pay and the FBI now has an open investigation of mishandling classified information -- since he only dealt with Iran, it's not hard to guess what country was involved.

Hired by Biden.

2. Ariane Tabatabai, Chief of Staff to Assistant Sec. of Defense for Special Ops Christopher Maier, is a long-time member of the "Iran Experts Initiative" which is a front group consisting of "academics" and others who "assist" the U.S. Govt in dealing with Iran. Email comms between her and various officials in the Iran Govt show that she has been taking directions from Tehran and reporting on matters learned in her capacity in DOD.
Maier's responsibilities on DOD's website are described as "all special operations, irregular warfare, counterterrorism, and information operations policy issues and the oversight of special operations peculiar administrative matters, on behalf of the Secretary."

These are two HUGE stories now given the events of the past 72 hours.

A key feature of the Malley hiring is the fact that he has known Sec. of State Blinken since high school.
