I had an awful nightmare last night that I had a new pupil in my class who didn't know the answer to anything, wouldn't let anyone else speak and kept making racist and ignorant comments. Chilling.
Our second context episode is ready for your enjoyment. This one looks at applying objectification theory to analysis of the characters, their values, and their relationships. #teamenglish https://t.co/8sDmoLM0zb
Fascinating read. This has some really important implications for medium and long-term planning for next year. How much time do you give to 'fast' reading in your curriculum? Well worth reading this to reflect upon.
Now this is very interesting, and I don't think at all obvious. Reading challenging texts aloud, and at a fast pace, improved the reading comprehension of all students, but for the lowest achievers, the gains were almost twice as great: https://t.co/TxJ1MZPI4X.
Very excited to be speaking at the @TeachFirst National Action Network event today about the great work we've been doing and exciting events we have coming up! Thanks for the invite @TF_clare and @TF_Community#NANMAN

@hayIeyrmars@Team_English1 I wouldn’t use the mark scheme as a prescriptive tool. To lift pupils to perceptive, teach them high-level knowledge, repeat ad nauseam, and show them explicitly how to phrase it. Then the marks take care of themselves! Check out our pods for tips on avoiding bolt on context too!
Just over two weeks until Lit Paper 1! What better way to prepare than with our in-depth discussion of Lady Macbeth? Enjoy!#teamenglish#aqa https://t.co/5HggvIfrGD
Questions to accompany the amazing @TheEnglishNetw1 Macbeth Context Podcast. I used it for cover, but it would work equally well as a homework task.https://t.co/iUJlECa6hz https://t.co/iJQUgrvLfr
