97 - Canada made 97 touches in the attacking box against Qatar, 26 more than any other team in a FIFA World Cup match on record (since 1966 - Germany 71 vs. Costa Rica in 2022).
Overwhelming.
@EBL2017 Missing the two of the best players too.
So much intensity, but leaves us exposed in DT. Which we have really yet to see so far this tournament.
People forget we challenged Argentina and finished 4th in the Copa America. We’re a good team.
@jamesbenge I don’t have much input on his Juventus play, but for Canada he’s been good. He’s vital to how the team plays. He more plays as a SS/ 9/10 hybrid as he drops and links play. If Canada score goals, he will be at the heart of it.
@JoePompliano Canada’s Jessie Marsch’s salary is also covered by some MLS teams.
His official job title was, maybe still is “MLS Canada Men's National Team Head Coach”.
South Africa might be in trouble here. Haven’t really been able to get anything going, the atmosphere is intense, making late fouls. They might already be done.
Wasn’t expecting this from Mexico either tbf.

In football and teams, culture is most important over everything.
Set your culture, have people buy in on the process and then bring everyone forward.
People first approach with a strong culture and you’ll really have players that fight, work their ass off.
So a little bit time since Arsenal are champions.
What a journey the last years have been, we’ve been so close, been so far and then so close again and again.
Really proud of everyone who got it over the line who let us feel how we feel.
