The most interesting thing about the events industry right now is that we actually get to create WHATEVER we want it to be. What's the future of the industry? You tell me.
In this Exchange Podcast episode, J. Damany Daniel, Chief Imaginator at the @TheEventNerd, shares with @NickBorelli how to incorporate hybrid experiences to improve user retention & give attendees the opportunities to connect. Listen: https://t.co/Ca3Bh1WbVB #events#podcast
The challenges for the event industry in the next 6 months:
⁃Handle short notice cancellation for virus spikes
⁃Renewing interest in virtual alternatives
⁃Reinstate confidence in attending with high level of virus spread
We need to start working on these.
Sometimes I wonder... Are we even trying to do better events or just coming back to the same old same old and we're ok with that?

I said this FIVE YEARS AGO. Now, as we return to in person events, for the love of EVERYTHING, please don't come back with the same tired, predictable, and expected conference and meeting experiences. We've had a year off to get it, if not right, then at least better. #eventprofs
It's a sad day in the state of technology when you try and change an EXISTING flight on @Delta and they tell you there's a 7-hour wait. Put an #eventprofs in charge of the call center and we'll have you running on time and serve you a 4-course meal.
