Manchester United fans will complain when the club struggles to get good money for its players, but sometimes we need to look in the mirror.

We absolutely DESTROY our own players.

One bad performance and the player is getting cooked by thousands of United fans. The tweets go viral, the memes spread, the narrative grows, and suddenly the player has a reputation that follows him everywhere.

Then we’re shocked when clubs don't want to pay big money for him.

Look at Manchester City.

Savinho struggled. Marmoush struggled for minutes. Nico González never really nailed down his place.

Yet you rarely see their fanbase publicly dismantling these players the way United fans do.

City just package the player, protect the asset and move on.

PSG did the same with Ugarte. He struggled there, but they still moved him on for around €60m, basically what they had paid Sporting a year earlier.

United fans need to understand something:

You can criticise a player without destroying his market value.

Sometimes we are our own worst enemies.

@mufcMPB #MUFC do this too often for my liking. Sesko and Cunha aren’t match fit. Zirkzee who’s played a lot in the preseason hasn’t played a single minute in the last two games, losing the match fitness he’s gained over the past few weeks.

Once again, Jack Fletcher looked past the 21s level last night.

To us regular academy watchers, it’s no surprise. Another reason why we can’t side with the nepotism claims or the fuss around him getting first-team minutes. He’s past academy football, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to consistently perform at senior level for United yet.

A brilliant first touch into space after a Thompson trivela assist created his goal before he deceived the keeper with the finish. Then came a disgustingly wonderful, line-breaking sliced pass into JJ Gabriel’s path for that dunk finish.

Had full control of the midfield alongside his twin brother Tyler. The two of them ran the game. The quality is there. It just hasn’t quite clicked at first-team level yet.

Which is why I’m so keen on a loan.
Regular senior football, preferably in the Championship, get that experience, then bring him back to United next season.

Need to get their development right. They’re both clearly talented.
