Cats often express a preference in what kind of prey they hunt down. This is something they learn from their mother. If mommy preferred to chase rabbits, chances are your kitty - provided mommy was around long enough - will share that preference

Cats often love drinking from the tap or toilet coz it is - ironically- more fresh than the water in their bowl, which easily becomes stale and tepid.

To keep your kitty off the counter and out of your toilet, a pet fountain might do the trick ;)

When putting up this cat tree, there was a cat in it before it was completely upright. Removal was futile.

Made it ever so entertaining to watch my partner rolls his eyes and scold the cat for its impatience, as he struggled to fasten the thing to the ceiling :D

Once a week, I put a little patch of catnip for every cat around the house (otherwise they fight over it :D), so they can unwind and go a little nuts without getting desensitised.

Ime, Feliway is not a cure-all. But it is a good tool when used in combination with other training techniques, as it mimics the pheromones a cat produces in order to feel safe in their home.

It’s helpful for cage training and territorial insecurity issues in general.

Sometimes, it's hard to accept that my cats are, in fact, grown-ups.

I find it is important to give them their own space and respect their wishes - as you would with any roommate.

And in my zeal to protect my family, that is often a challenge to remember.
