@treppenluke It’s a whisper phone, it allows the person wearing it to hear themselves whisper what they are reading out loud to slow them down to read each word.
Why is the model for every #adhd related product a child? Sometimes adults need whisper phones to read too. 🙋🏻♀️
Fidget toys are getting more diverse models, but it feels like every other product is meant with only children in mind.
.#adhd win of the day:
I was looking for my sleep mask in my luggage and got distracted thinking about something else and completely forgot what I was even looking for.
I decided to tread on and continue searching even though I was searching with a forgotten goal.
I’d like to announce that for the first time during this pandemic, I have forgotten my mask while going to a public place.
I accomplished this by having several masks in my car at all times.
I’m so surprised that my #adhd ass has gone this far before I have forgotten my mask.
@registrarial Personally, liking the work. It makes my life a lot easier to maintain. If I like it, I can focus on it. Though if you’re surrounded by mean people that makes it really difficult to like my work too.
@Oli_ADHD As others have said here, being called “lazy,” “irresponsible” and “rude” are labels too. And they imply that they are bad people because of their symptoms. Those are crappy labels with crappy solutions.
@Oli_ADHD I developed a severe anxiety disorder after many years of beating myself up to live up to neurotypical expectations.
I wish I could have avoided that somehow.
Anxiety and depression are tough consequences for avoiding a label.
I hate disappointing people, but because of my ADHD:
• I’m going to be late
• I’m going to forget important details
• I’m going to overreact emotionally
Trust me, it frustrates me even more than it frustrates you.
