@RichardTowns03@maz100000001@SamCKx The crux of the investigation against Farage is trying to find the reason why he didn't declare the ยฃ5million, while all the gifts from Lord Alli were indeed declared.
@Allywag3@TimGreenst66290@SamCKx Farage just throws enough of a bone to potential supporters in the form of validating racism and xenophobia, as all he needs is their vote in order to implement policies that will benefit wealthy friends, donors and corporations at the expense of the people who voted for him.
@brianb164@RpsAgainstTrump You can only repeal an Amendment if you get three-quarters (38) of the states to ratify it, and that would never happen with the 22nd Amendment.
@george_ludgate@RpsAgainstTrump Actually, the 12th Amendment would bar Trump from running as Vice-President too. The last sentence reads: "But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States." https://t.co/bmmX0jGrZm
@EdwinGulv@LondonEconomic The chart starts from 2016. The UK didn't officially leave transistion until 31 December 2020, so half that period we were still under EU rules. According to Statista: Total nominal growth rates since January 2021 are: UK +15.9% and EU +21.5%
@LarryThar21315@LindseyGrahamSC@POTUS Iran pumps its crude oil from the mainland to Kharg Island as its coastline is too shallow for massive tanker ships. If the U.S. captured the island, then Iran will just turn off the pump so there will be no oil revenue.
@JimCollinsJr@DarMV@FoxNews Indeed! The current U.S. inflation is due to the Iran war, of which Trump started. Biden's inflation was due to Covid supply chain issues and Russia's war with Ukraine, both of which Biden did not start.
@GarrardGraeme@Telegraph The Nazis adopted to the term "Socialist" purely in order to appeal to the workers, even though there was nothing left-wing about them. Farage wants to adopt a similar trick too, as he is indeed a Libertarian Thatcherite, and his loyalty lies with the like-minded.
@david_darlo7@TwosUpJ51@Haggis_UK Indeed! It's called "collective cabinet responsibility". If a minister does not resign over government policy, then they are deemed to have fully supported the government over the policy.
@Pickod@TwosUpJ51@Haggis_UK Indeed! "Collective cabinet responsibility" is a constitutional convention where members of the government must publicly support all cabinet decisions. If a minister cannot publicly defend a policy, they are expected to resign from the government.
@paul_tyndale@Haggis_UK "Collective cabinet responsibility" is a constitutional convention where members of the government must publicly support all cabinet decisions. If a minister cannot publicly defend a policy, they are expected to resign from the government.
@Geordie295@archer_rs What "illegal" gifts did Starmer receive? He received pairs of glasses and suits from a friend who is a Lord. The reason we knew about these gifts is because he declared them. I was personally disappointed he took them, but there was nothing illegal about it.
@colin_sowter@archer_rs Politics is a business opportunity for Farage, and it's likely he'll not want the intense responsibilities and scrutiny of being a Prime Minister. Of course he would blame it all on something else if he did bail out before the next General Election - probably threats to his life.
@DailyMail I can't see how it benefits him to make this claim. If he is alleging that Moscow is hacking his phone suggests that there is some kind of tangible link between them both, as they feel the need to check-up on him to keep him "in-line". It would be very "on-brand" for the Kremlin.
@NancyWindsorUK@DailyMail Have you not heard of the Russian proverb "Doveryay no proveryay", which translates to "Trust but verify"? It means while you trust your friends, it's still wise to check-up on them. To still want to hack his phone would be very on on-brand for the Kremlin.
@ytdaveyt@cnelders@SimonCalder Indeed! This is by far the busiest border crossing into the EU, and the border infrastructure is limited due to local geography.
@RickD64@DavidWa28957772@LizWebsterSBF@Lord_Sugar Sunak also cut National Insurance before the election, which was a policy the country was in no position to afford. In addition to the Brexit damage, Labour's post-election tax rises had to plug that deficit too.

@sirhlyon@MarkJohn626@LizWebsterSBF@Lord_Sugar Absoluteluy right! The ยฃ350million extra per week was supposed to be in "addition" to the annual inflationary rises in the NHS budget since leaving the EU, of which still have not kept pace with rises since before leaving.
@RepJackKimble As an Englishman it is my right to purchase and have on my possession a Kinder Surprise Egg, and I am tired of the U.S. trampling over my right to bring one into their country! (Yes I know this is the account of a fictional and satirical Congressman!!) ๐
