Egypt have officially filed a complaint with FIFA after their controversial World Cup defeat to Argentina.

The Egyptian FA has requested an investigation into referee François Letexier and his team, claiming several key decisions went against them, including a disallowed goal, a denied penalty and what they described as a “double standard.”

The federation has also asked FIFA to remove referee Letexier from the rest of the tournament.
