The Freya Project is a reading series that uses storytelling to inspire community-based activism and to directly raise funds for small non-profit organizations.
Over the past few months we have seen several states proposing and enforcing bills that are limiting abortions and women’s access to them. Some states push it as far as banning abortions after 6 weeks before women even know that they are pregnant. Here’ some ways to be informed
And this year we are thrilled to be able to award five Meret Grants. The Meret Grant is a $1,000 unrestricted award to a writer who has participated in one of our Freya Project readings.
Naomi Jackson is the recipient of the 2021 Juno Grant. The Juno Grant is a $5,000 unrestricted award to a writer who is a parent and who has participated in one of our Freya Project readings.
