A thing @theredmond just said is, I think, really significant. The fact that both @TheFrisky and @thesuperficial ended up tanking is proof that WRITERS MATTER and that not "just anyone" can do our jobs, so long as the SEO and the clickbait heds are there.
Internet: When you're going to kill a website you should give the writers some notice so they can salvage all their work before it's gone for good. RIP @TheFrisky 😢
I’ll keep RTing all your shout outs and memories of the good shit that once appeared on the once super good site, almost entirely under @xoamelia’s leadership. (I was more less brought in to be the angel of death lol)
Hi, former Frisky EIC Jessica here. The chop shop that bought our site never bothered to take the Twitter from me. Go figure. So sad about the loss of all the extremely good work, and also sad that i basically only got to come onboard to see the site ushered to its fall.
i wrote a column about men and feelings and sex for @thefrisky called 'Mind of Man' that @xoamelia edited. It was sort of my post-Maxim detox and I was quite proud of it and now it is gone because The Internet is nothing but pain and sorrow.
I did some of my best work at @TheFrisky, and I am so, so sad to see it go. But I just want to give a HUGE shout out and thank you to the amazing @xoamelia for having been such a good friend and editor through it all.
