I did write that didn't I. It could use a bit of a rewrite, a deeper dive into the characters. it could use Mildred being part of this short rant. I'll think about it once I'm done dealing with history repeating, sorta.

Feeling oddly but pleasantly relieved some people ended up outliving their usefulness. I remember writing about capt. Beaty's character, the whole peace and serenity speech, burning the ashes and so on as the way forward, and finding that relevant again.
