This past year @TheGES brought together 60 undergrads from nearly every @NorthwesternU school for a unique year of learning & social impact, culminating with the #GES2021 Summit in April. Learn more about the Global Engagement Summit here: https://t.co/MEb3SvxztU
As #GES2021 wraps up, delegates and staff members wait to hear from David Simas (@david_simas) — this year’s closing speaker! Among all his cool posts: He’s the CEO of the @ObamaFoundation & served in Barack Obama’s administration as the White House Director of Political Affairs
Simas says he dealt with imposter syndrome “every day [he] worked in the White House.”
So he had a ritual. Every single day he walked into the building and every single night when he left, he would repeat the same thing to himself:
Remember who you are, and who you represent.
Legal services, policy advocation, and education are just some of the ways delegates are specifically addressing the issues their projects’ tackle through their Results Frameworks!
Last day of the #GES2021 Summit! Right now the delegates are in Joanna Cohen’s workshop: “Assessing & Sustaining Your Impact,” to give delegates tools to produce markers of progress to sustain their projects in the future!
The “Results Framework” is a super interesting concept Joanna is currently explaining - “Ask yourself the simple question: How? How are you going to contribute to your overall goal?”
“The fight never ends” is a great note to end this Keynote with Reshma! We’re so grateful Reshma and Alexis for giving us their time today, this is an amazing start to what will be a spectacular summit!
Hi everyone! We’re so excited that #GES2021 is about to start! This year, though we aren’t able to meet in person, we’ve got the most delegates we’ve had and an entire lineup of exciting events for our delegates to learn and grow from! Stay tuned for updates!
