What a time right now.
1. Bungie kills D2
2. We lost Kyle
3. Cross and Myelin both go absolutely fuckn mental
4. CDPR announce a new Witcher 3 DLC after 100 years
5. Jason Schreier started a YT.
What in the absolute fuck is going on.
🚨Former Bungie dev says a Destiny dating sim was actually made internally and was "very Dream Daddy inspired," but leadership was a "hard no" because they thought nobody wanted "romance or silliness" - https://t.co/uJ4f94q0Wr
@Keir_Starmer Every Prime Minister's remit, is to improve the nation.
You've trampled on freedoms, and exposed the innocent to evil they should never know.
You, sir, have left the nation significantly worse.
@TheGameVerse He finds doctors who can create a cure without killing Ellie, and brings them back only to find Jackson attacked by Abby, Tommy dead and Ellie gone. In the end he realizes Ellie organized this with Abby. Then there is a 3rd game where it all gets resolved. 2/2
@TheGameVerse In Jackson, Ellie finds out what Joel did. She takes big risks to find a way to sacrifice herself for a cure. She meets Abby who tricks her into creating a trap for Joel. He saves Ellie who is still mad at him but he realizes he needs to make it right. 1/2
@PaulTassi The problem is this - the only people who still trust Bungie are playing Marathon, or were playing Destiny. And all those Destiny fans have been burned. So IMO it doesn't matter what they add, their main problem isn't content, it's credibility.
@WaniryuGod@GamewithDave Nah, it's fine. I've always had Playstations, so it would make sense to get a PS5 Pro so I can play my old games on it, but I just hate Sony now. Unless they make Destiny 3.
@PaulTassi There's so much going on here, and somehow, all of it is mostly irrelevant.
That's what the seasonal model added to the game - lots of detached story threads that have no bearing on the main characters.
This is what I mean when I say Bungie never really valued the narrative.
@RinoTheBouncer Never. In 2026, it's just a way for publishers to release a shitty product and have people still pay full price.
I can understand if diehard fans of a product really want the associated bonuses, but that sort of cult behavior isn't for me.
@boneysoups Pandering to people's sloth has not been productive.
It's time we went back to 90s advice for cases like this:
Get off your backside. Stop treating your living room like a waiting room for the morgue. The TV isn't paying your bills. No one is coming to save you from yourself.
