Finally, fully happy with these Superman designs.
One of my favourite aspects of the character is how every single stage of his life is interesting and works as a compelling status quo.
Happy pride moth to Atris, the Jedi whose girlfriend walked off with Revan and reacted to that action by becoming a crazed hater with a collection of demonic artifacts in her basement.
Wemby says Revenge of the Sith is his favorite Star Wars movie of all time:
“When I say I like Star Wars, I don’t count the last three movies. My favorite is Revenge of the Sith, my second favorite would have to be Attack of the Clones, and then I’d say The Empire Strikes Back.”

Oh, #MastersOfTheUniverse is great. Maybe the best of the blockbusters of the year so far?
It’s a well-constructed, funny and playful crowdpleaser that is surprisingly thoughtful in its study of the performance of masculinity.
I think people seriously overstate how much Tarkin was "above" Vader in the first film.
I think with the additional context it is extremely easy to read their relationship as one of mutual respect and Tarkin being the first among equals due to being in command of the station.
Tom Holland would call "Spider-Man" producers from "The Odyssey" set in order to "lay down the law" about filming blockbusters the Christopher Nolan way:
“I'd say, ‘We are not going to come to set and figure it out. We need to know why we are making this movie beyond the fact that it’s ‘Spider-Man 4’ and they make loads of money and we’re going to just have a big summer. Why are we making this movie?’ And Destin was super instrumental in that, but it was just really great to constantly be calling up the studio and [producers] Amy [Pascal] and Rachel [O’Connor], who I love, and be like, ‘Well, Chris is doing it this way. This is how I think we should be doing it.’ ” (via GQ)

The response to this article is why I despise the "media literacy" movement. A group of people obsessed with objective perfect readings of a film that leave no room for interpretation of personal projection onto art because they can't relate to other people.
Anakin being a child when he leaves his mother informs the character quite a lot actually and making him do it at 18 is a really stupid idea to make the prequels better you guys can handle having a child character in your children's movie
It is interesting how the nba has *almost* never gone without what at least appeared to be goat candidate to pass the torch off to, and they haven’t really had to force it
So many times one of them has been aging or retires, there seems to be a clear candidate to try & carry it..
