@nofavorrs@BCarauleanu@DistanceCovered He wasn't eligible tonight and its highly, highly doubtful that he's Liverpool quality. He's older than Kerkez and has failed to get significant game time at Preston, Bolton, Wigan and Kilmarnock over the past few years. He's not the answer.
@nofavorrs@BCarauleanu@DistanceCovered Rio isn't at their level and it shows in his performances. He's incredibly raw. Also it's a nightmare situation to be bringing a 17 year old into. I'd like to see more of Chiesa but its clear the manager doesn't really rate him, and that was clear in the summer too.
@nofavorrs@BCarauleanu@DistanceCovered Fair criticism but no proper alternative to Gakpo is a squad building problem and there's obviously something going on with Gomez that we don't know about. I would be tempted to throw Robbo in over Konate at this point though, and I REALLY don't want to see Robbo at CB.
@BCarauleanu@DistanceCovered I'd be shocked if FSG look at it this way. They are famous for cool heads and not doing the things that the baying crowd thinks they should. Bad situation for Slot for sure, but what can he do about horrendous mistakes from VVD, Konate, Gakpo all leading directly to goals.
@DistanceCovered I think we're way too attacking for the game state at 85 minutes and making a change to solidify was the right move, but I'd prefer to have seen Gomez come on.
@danielstorey85 Gary Neville needs to learn this lesson. I'm not exaggerating by saying he personally makes the situation at United worse by adding to the pressure on players like Mainoo by immediately claiming they're better than Liverpools midfielders etc.
@AdamCrafton_ Will any lessons be learned by the likes of Neville to not create huge hype over the next United youth product, demanding they play for England, are better than Liverpools midfielders etc? Absolutely not.
@Carra23 Also goes against the FSG rule of putting the ยฃยฃยฃ on the pitch. They're not going to want an ยฃ80m back up. BUT 1. maybe they think they can play together 2. may need to manage Isak carefully with his injury record and 3. more focus on minutes than starts in the current game
@danielstorey85@smulhero But that in itself is an issue... they could have done more through sponsorship means funneling money into the enterprise by "legitimate" means. The whole set up is corrupt.
@Knox_Harrington Definitely wouldn't be shocked if Wirtz, Diaz and Jota are our 9 options this year. The 3 deals we assume get done cover all our "must-do" business imo but so many options to upgrade from there if opportunities arise.
