Something I want to share with this community π
50% of people never read a single book.
Only 20% read more than one a year.
And yet everyone has an opinion.
Here's the problem, if all your thoughts come from social media, you're not forming opinions. You're borrowing someone else's.
The people who understand what's happening in the world right now, the war in Iran, the oil crisis, the political chaos, are the people who studied what came before it.
History doesn't repeat itself exactly.
But it rhymes.
Every crisis we're living through has happened before in some form. The 1973 oil embargo. The 1929 crash. The wars that reshaped the world.
The answers are in the books.
Not the algorithms.
Read about the past and the present starts to make sense.
Understand the present and you'll see the future coming before most people do.
That's what this page is about.
Asking the questions. Doing the research. Thinking for yourself.
What was the last book you read that changed how you see the world?
Drop it below π Let's build a reading list together.

Commander Wiseman described it:
'You could see the entire globe, from pole to pole. Africa. Europe. The northern lights.'
Now the big question π
If you could go to the moon tomorrow, would you?
tell us why π

35 days ago oil was $60 a barrel.
Today it's $140.
More than doubled in 5 weeks.
Your energy bill. Your food shop. Your mortgage. Your petrol.
All of it is being decided by a war most people didn't vote for and nobody can stop.
At what point does the cost to ordinary people become unacceptable?
@TheGlobalDebate π
@FT A French container ship just sailed through the Strait of Hormuz while the US Navy stands back and watches.
