Day 6 of mastering TanStack
Spent the morning digging into this code. Even after 6 years, those double parentheses got me second-guessing.
That's the point.
Every day I have questions. Doubts. Not in my abilities, but in my knowledge.
It's a spider web of knowledge. As intended.
I'm not lazy. I'm energy efficient. I don't try to memorise. I add nodes to my spider web.
Focus on what's right in front of me. Not the full stack. That's what the spider web is for.
Closure 101:
fn(arg1)(arg2) - A function that returns a function.
createFileRoute('/products/') locks in the path. Returns a function that remembers it.
First () = configuration.
Second () = execution.
Separating config from execution, very nice๐ค
Powers every modern framework.
Once you get this, frameworks stop feeling like magic.
Understand what you ship. That's the skill that will be in demand.
@Raress96_ I was in the exact same position bro.
Push through and stay positive
Dont just vibe, smash the fundamentals too and level up
Regardless of how pointless it is because of ai, companies still test that shit
Im here if i can help
@WhiskyToad Totally agree โ especially for meaningful conversations. I use AI to help me organize my thoughts or clean up my wording sometimes, but the perspective, the experience, the reason I'm even here to say it? That's all me. There's a difference between a tool and a ghostwriter.
Minutes ago, we officially submitted our very first app to the App Store.๐ฅณ
The backstory isn't exactly a glamorous tech-bro narrative:
โข We both work demanding 9-5 jobs
โข We have 4 kids between us
โข We currently have 3 failed ideas live on the internet with zero customers
Weโve been grinding on this since December. It meant trading sleep for code and marketing, working whenever the house was quiet.
But today made it all worth it. After months of winter and snow, we took our laptops out into the very first spring sun and finally clicked submit.
The relief, exhaustion, and pride are unbelievable right now. Hyped and ready for launch!!
And still I feel like the hard part is just about to begin๐
@WhiskyToad Its good bro
But people wont watch past 20 seconds..
2 min is too long - for x users - i think... or just me
Cut it up into chunks and multiple posts?
Keep it up ๐ฅ
Can't believe I stayed on Claude Pro so long.
First month at my new job using Cursor full time as a senior software engineer โ 2 full app migrations, 2 new apps, daily debugging of AI slop.
Only hit my limits today.
32 hours of coding, used it every single day.
With 2 days left in the week I'll just use the free AI and copy paste like a real G.
Claude Pro is a coward. "You're running out of your weekly limit."
Fuck off.
Cancelled.
The main skill now isn't prompting.
It's reviewing.
Focus on your PRs. Read the diff. Find the AI slop and thank me later.
@SalzmannOnX Maybe its my algo but i only reply to what i like, or interests me
Most of the time its nonsense and people subliminally encouraging me to have a treadmill under my desk
Fuck that shit
Or life ๐คซ๐ซก๐ฅ
I sometimes wonder who told me to build in public and why
Or did I tell myself?
I really dont know
But fuck posting daily
Fuck being a reply guy
Im a dad
A software engineer
And lazy, or energy effecient
Depends on how you look at it
But i do enjoy watching others grow
So ill stick around for that
