˹They are˺ those who have been expelled from their homes for no reason other than proclaiming: “Our Lord is Allah.” Had Allah not repelled ˹the aggression of˺ some people by means of others, destruction would have surely claimed monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which Allah’s Name is often mentioned. Allah will certainly help those who stand up for Him. Allah is truly All-Powerful, Almighty.
Quran 22:40
“Do not steal the spoils, do not be treacherous with the enemy, do not mutilate the dead, do not kill children, and fear Allah regarding the farmers who do not wage war against you.”
-Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, decreed the above. (Sunan Sa’id ibn Mansur 2466)
Ibn Qudamah said, “We adhere to the saying of Umar. The companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did not kill farmers when they liberated the lands, because they do not fight. In this, they resemble old men and priests.” (al-Mughni 7617)
@sneako “O Abu Sa’id, which jihad is best?” Hasan said, “Your jihad against your desires.”
- Hasan al-Basri, may Allah have mercy on him (Rawdat al-Muhibbin 1/478)
“You must fear Allah in every situation you find yourselves. Verily, the fear of Allah is greater for preparation, a better plan, and a stronger force. There is nothing of the hostility of your enemies that deserves more caution than your own selves and those with you who are sinfully disobedient to Allah. For I fear the sins of the people more than the plots of their enemies. Verily, we were only transgressed by our enemy and given divine support over them due to their sinful disobedience. Were it not for that, we would have no power over them.”
Umar ibn Abdul Aziz, may Allah have mercy on him, took a pledge from some of his military deputies with the above condition. (Hilyat al-Awliya’ 5/302)
Finally, Islam distinguishes between what God can do and what God is. God is all-powerful, but He does not cease to be the eternal, uncreated Creator by becoming part of His creation. The Qur'an repeatedly affirms that "There is nothing like unto Him" (42:11). God's transcendence is understood as a perfection, not a limitation.
So, from the Islamic perspective, belief in the virgin birth, the second coming of Jesus, the finality of Muhammad's prophethood, and God's absolute transcendence forms a coherent theological framework rather than a contradiction.
Yes, because none of those beliefs contradict one another.
In Islam, Jesus miraculous birth proves God's power, not His divinity. Adam had neither father nor mother, yet no one claims he was God because of his creation (Qur'an 3:59).
Jesus return does not make him a new prophet bringing a new revelation. Muslims believe he will return as a follower of the final revelation, upholding the law brought by Muhammad ﷺ, confirming the truth, defeating the False Messiah (al-Dajjāl), and establishing justice before the Day of Judgment. This does not conflict with Muhammad ﷺ being the final prophet (Qur'an 33:40).
No. However it is important to clarify that Islam holds Jesus (peace be upon him) in the highest honour. The Qur'an describes him as the Messiah (al-Masīḥ), the Word of God (Kalimatullāh), a Spirit from Him, and one of God's greatest messengers. His miraculous birth, prophetic mission, and future return are all affirmed.
"The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His Word which He conveyed to Mary, and a spirit from Him." (Quran 4:171)
Likewise, his mother Mary (peace be upon her) is uniquely honoured:
"O Mary, indeed Allah has chosen you, purified you, and chosen you above the women of all the worlds." (Quran 3:42)
Islam, therefore, does not diminish Jesus; it in facts vindicates him. It restores his message of pure devotion to the One God, defends his miraculous birth, and absolves both him and his mother of the false accusations that emerged in certain historical traditions.
"Indeed there is a garden in this world, whoever does not enter it, shall not enter the Garden of the afterlife." -Ibn Taymiyyah
One of the knowers has said, The heart goes through such times that I say: If the people of the Garden would experience anything like this, their life would be good indeed.
One of the lovers said, The wretched of the world are those who left it without tasting the best thing in it. They said, What is the best thing in it? He said, Love of God, familiarity with Him, yearning to meet Him, turning to Him and avoiding all else."
-Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah, Madarij al-Salikin
Apostasy Laws in the Bible:
"If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, 'Let us go and worship other gods' (gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them. You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people. Stone them to death, because they tried to turn you away from the LORD your God..."
The Holy Bible, Deuteronomy 13:6–10.
"Have you allowed all the women to live?" he asked them.
"They were the ones who followed Balaam's advice and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the LORD in the Peor incident, so that a plague struck the LORD's people. Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man."
The Holy Bible, Numbers 31:15–18.
Brown people built the foundations of Western Civilization with the cradle of Civilization in the "Middle East" which is not so East!
Western civilization did not begin in Europe. Its earliest foundations were laid by the civilizations of the ancient Near East, especially Egypt and Mesopotamia . Then enriched by the Persians, preserved and expanded during the Islamic Golden Age by Arabs, Persians, Turks, Berbers and many others, before much of that knowledge flowed into medieval and Renaissance Europe.
BEFORE HE WAS BORN, his mother had a visitor from heaven who told her that her son would not be a mere mortal but in fact would be divine. His birth was accompanied by unusual divine signs in the heavens. As an adult he left his home to engage on an itinerant preaching ministry. He went from village to town, telling all who would listen that they should not be concerned about their earthly lives and their material goods; they should live for what was spiritual and eternal. He gathered a number of followers around him who became convinced that he was no ordinary human, but that he was the Son of God. And he did miracles to confirm them in their beliefs: he could heal the sick, cast out demons, and raise the dead. At the end of his life he aroused opposition among the ruling authorities of Rome and was put on trial. But they could not kill his soul. He ascended to heaven and continues to live there till this day. To prove that he lived on after leaving this earthly orb, he appeared again to at least one of his doubting followers, who became convinced that in fact he remains with us even now. Later, some of his followers wrote books about him, and we can still read about him today. But very few of you will have ever seen these books. And I imagine most of you do not even know who this great miracle-working Son of God was. I have been referring to a man named Apollonius, who came from the town of Tyana. He was a pagan—that is, a polytheistic worshiper of the many Roman gods—and a renowned philosopher of his day. His followers thought he was immortal.
-Bart D. Ehrman, How Jesus Became God: The Exaltation of a Jewish Preacher from Galilee
Say, [O believers], “We have believed in God and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him.”
- Quran 2:136
"Do you not see [know] that to God prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the moving creatures and many of the people? But upon many the punishment has been justified. And he whom God humiliates - for him there is no bestower of honor. Indeed, God does what He wills."
Quran 22:18
“Every inanimate creation prostrates itself to its Creator, and while human beings are favored with intellect, many of them do not prostrate themselves. This alone is proof of God’s overwhelming power over His slaves. He is capable of endowing a person with an intellect and then denying them the benefit of that intellect so that they reject belief in their own Creator.”
- Ibn al-Jawzi
“God Almighty has made clear by many of His laws that the purpose is to establish justice between His servants and for people to behave fairly. Whichever path leads to justice and fairness is part of the religion and does not contradict it.”
- Ibn al-Qayyim, al-Ṭuruq al-Hikmīya 1/13
“Verily, the Sharia is founded upon wisdom and welfare for the servants in this life and the afterlife. In its entirety it is justice, mercy, benefit, and wisdom. Every matter which abandons justice for tyranny, mercy for cruelty, benefit for corruption, and wisdom for foolishness is not a part of the Sharia even if it was introduced therein by an interpretation.”
- Ibn al-Qayyim, I’lam al-Muwaqqi’in 3/11
@sneako A warning to the unjust, and comfort to the victims of injustice.
