Nottingham is one of the UK's best cities for transport, but seeing the way @NETTram ticket inspectors behave towards people they suspect of fare dodging makes paying customers want to use the tram less. Why can't they sell tickets from their little machines if it's that deep?
Absolute shambles on @NETTram today. Ticket machine took a holding fee when she tapped on with her phone, but showed up as invalid when ticket was inspected. Staff refused to listen and were belligerent, bordering on threatening. We showed that the holding fee had been taken.
@bracecricket Desperate Dan was the flagship character of the Dandy! Same company of course, and there is a statue of him in Dundee. Great to have the commentary back, might get to Trent Bridge this weekend!
@bracecricket I think the sound issue is with the YouTube feed, Dave. You're coming through fine on the radio but the livestream is dragging further and further behind!
@bracecricket where would you put Will Young in the 11 if he comes into the side next week? You have to feel that Hameed and Duckett won't be dropped, and both Slater & Clarke are showing good touch.
Whatever your #EdFringe2023 plans, make time for @BenMacpherson1's solo poetry show!
Witty, well-crafted poems to please folks of all ages, coupled with effortlessly charming crowd work - there's no better way to start your Fringe day.

What becomes clear to me is that wealthy podcast guys who feel as if they are being cancelled for their heretical views are actually just extremely sensitive to any criticism and just plain shocked that a person could possibly disagree with them.
@bracecricket of course we hoped for a few more runs, but 3 batting points seems an impressive feat this week. Of all the teams in Div 1 to bat so far, only Notts and Northants have any at all (though Surrey, Lancs and Kent can still score some).
@bracecricket The Kevin Costner movie is Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves - but yes, its theme was the interminable number 1 single "Everything I do" - I agree it's a vastly overrated song
@bracecricket well Nottingham does have its Batman connections of course. Gotham city is named after a Notts suburb and Wollaton Hall was used for Wayne Manor in the Dark Knight Rises!
Had a great time goosing around with some wonderful humans last night! Excellent improv practice for my upcoming course! Thank you @blue_brewery for being the best hosts!
HONK!!
The Goose was back tonight. The Goose gives stage time every fortnight to improvisers who want to play with new people or who want to try new things. Check us out on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 8pm at The Organ Grinder in Canning Circus, Nottingham
I started reading Slaughterhouse Five this morning, can't believe I haven't read Vonnegut before. I wasn't expecting the framing device, but I am so here for it. "This one is a failure, and it had to be, for it was written by a pillar of salt." ๐
It's competition time!๐ฅณ

@FabrizioRomano Any news on JWP to Man united Fab? Part of me ould rather have the world's best free kick merchant than a well-rounded Eriksen replacement.
It makes sense I guess, but the fact Manchester United are getting James Ward-Prowse does seem very last minute. 40 million for a cracking player though. #MUFC#DeadlineDay
