The grand scale of the public spaces inside NYC's Pennsylvania Station.

The station was demolished in 1963. After the demolition of the above ground section an architectural historian, Vincent Scully, wrote: "One entered the city like a god. One scuttles in now like a rat".

Eiffel Tower

It was constructed by the renowned architect Gustave Eiffel, it was meant to be a temporary structure for the World's Fair 1889 and the anniversary for the French revolution

It took two years, two months and five days to complete the construction.

@Fascinate_Hist The care put into this building extends to its exterior, which features intricate details across the facade. It is difficult to imagine a comparably beautiful industrial building being constructed today.

@Dee_Floki This is the second Avala Tower.

The original tower was destroyed in 1999, and its replacement was constructed between 2006 and 2009.

It is a telecommunication tower located on Mount Avala in Belgrade, Serbia.
