And now, his company, Starlink’s top executives - including President Gwynne Shotwell and VP Lauren Dreyer are in India, meeting Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and signing MoUs, including one with Meghalaya for pilot rollout in remote areas.

Too much coincidence?

▪️June 2025: Starlink’s long-delayed GMPCS licence (Global Mobile Personal Communications by Satellite) finally cleared after 3 years
▪️Spectrum to be allocated NOT auctioned

👉BJP’s hypocrisy on spectrum allocation is glaring
▪️In 2008-2012, BJP attacked the UPA for allotting 2G spectrum on a first-come-first-served basis instead of auctioning it,alleged notional losses, which have since been rejected by the court.

▪️2012 Supreme Court verdict made auction of spectrum mandatory for transparency and revenue maximisation.

▪️Yet now, the Modi govt is handing spectrum to Elon Musk’s Starlink and others through allocation, not auction.

👉👉Clearly, revenue maximisation, was yet another jumla to attack the Congress and has been completely sacrificed to favour a foreign billionaire.

👉👉BJP’s hypocrisy and double standard have no limit.
