With over 2,000 hammers on display, the Hammer Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of the hammer. (≠ the @hammer_museum)
For all you hammer enthusiasts out there, I've just remembered this, from our trip to Alaska. The Hammer Museum in Haines. Hammers, basically. Many, many hammers. The occasional mallet, but mostly hammers. Also, you can buy T-shirts in the shop saying 'I got Hammered in Haines.'
The 1964 Freedom Summer movement resulted in meetings, protests, freedom schools, freedom housing and even freedom libraries--but there was also danger, violence, and death.
