Sometimes I feel like an anomaly in the gaming space because I’m seeing constant complaints that FF16 is too easy and meanwhile I’m getting through most bosses on my last sliver of health because my reaction time is abysmal. I guess I’m just bad at games 😆
The side quests in FFXVI are my favorite part of the game because they really highlight the game’s character work. I’m always excited to see new ones pop up.
The PS5 controller hurts my wrists to the point that I can’t play all that long or often without doing lasting damage. I don’t have this issue with any other controller type, which is really weird.
" Yubisaki to Renren" (A Sign of Affection) Anime Adaptation according to Weibo!

Fight for the future in Metaphor: ReFantazio, releasing on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC in 2024!
I thought the Xbox showing was really good this year! I’m super excited for the not Persona Persona game announcement and Fable looks great. I’m also cautiously optimistic that Starfield will be a lot of fun.
I’ll admit, while I have poured many hours into Diablo 3, I never actually finished the story because it wasn’t that interesting to me. 4’s story, on the other hand, had me playing long past the 20 minutes I planned on before bed.
Persona 3 remake and the next FFVII trailer in the same day? I thought gaming couldn’t get better than 2023 for me, but 2024 is looking pretty good, too!
TV shows in the social media age are so weird because I’ve never seen an episode of Succession and don’t ever plan to, yet I feel like I know everything that just went down in the final episode through just being on Twitter.
Overall, I thought the PS showcase was fine, but no more than that. A few games I’m absolutely thrilled about (Talos Principle, Cat Quest, and FFXVI), and a whole lot of things I really do not care about. Dragon’s Dogma 2 looks good enough that I may finally play the first one.
@ejunkie2014 I fully agree with you. I’m so happy everyone loves it, but it can be so weird and isolating to not enjoy a game with such universal praise.
Tears of the Kingdom looks so good, but I didn’t like Breath of the Wild and could never get more than 10 or so hours into it. I probably shouldn’t pick it up, but it’s so tempting…
@McMahon_BearPig The past 2 weeks, I have read:
Ao Haru Ride (good 1st half, meh after)
Ima Koi (starts kinda bad but hooked me)
Sand Chronicles (more of a drama than a romance. SO GOOD. SO SAD)
Absolute Boyfriend (TRASH, but kinda fun trash?)
My Love Mix-Up (maybe my favorite rom com manga ever)
I already knew I liked reading romance manga, but now that I’ve read a couple of shoujo romances through the Viz app, I have a whole new love of the genre and I need to read all of it right now thank you.
I need to keep reading manga because every time I read something that it turns out isn’t fully translated yet, I get super motivated to keep improving my (still not great) Japanese.
I liked one post about manga and now my whole feed is manga. Glad for a break from the constant politics, and apologies if a lot of manga-related posts come up on your feed from me, now.
