Sources in Hargeisa and media reports suggest a major shift could be coming for Somaliland, a self-declared republic since 1991!

Here's what's being reported:

⚫ Imminent Recognition? "Several countries are in the final stages of an agreement to grant official recognition to the self-declared republic of Somaliland," per DNE Africa sources.

⚫ Confirmed Interest: "The President of Somaliland has received confirmation from a number of countries that are ready to recognise the breakaway region," according to DNE Africa sources.

⚫ Expanded List: Some media reports suggest the U.S., UK, Israel, UAE, and 17 other countries could grant recognition in coming months.

⚫ Push for Recognition: A DNE Africa source stated: "Yes, there are a number of countries that are currently pushing this. Some of them include the list that has been published." The source added, "I don’t think the government is in a position to disclose the identity of the other countries at this stage."

⚫ Unrecognised Status: Somaliland declared independence in 1991 but isn't recognised by Mogadishu or the international community.

⚫ Historical Context: Former British protectorate, it united with former Italian Somalia in 1960, a union dissolved after a brutal civil war in 1991.

⚫ Self-Governance: It has its own currency, security forces, passports, and has held elections since 2003, effectively operating independently.

9️⃣ وجوب الجهاد المالي لدعم إخواننا في غزة وسرعة فتح المعابر.

🔟 دعوة الجاليات المسلمة في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية إلى الضغط على ترامب وحكومته للإيفاء بوعوده الانتخابية في إيقاف العدوان وإحلال السلام.
